The Harvest: Great fruit and quality. Excellent autumnal conditions, cool nightime temperatures.
Tasting Notes: Definitely corrupt and complex, great leathery characters. First impressions are of a very soft textured midpalate leading into very ripe fruit tannins supports by (new) oak, very good wine that has the palate of a ripe New-world Pinot with the aroma more Old-world.
Aroma: Black current cassis; black current jam; cigar box; leather; violets; barnyard; thyme; charred oak.
Tasting: Flavours of ripe berry fruit and dark chocolate; heavy oak; soft mid palate; complex & concentrated; textured - ripe and juicy; length and persistence; ripe tannin structure and balanced acidity.
Cellaring Time: Great concentration and complexity, progressing well, great drinking now and for another 3-5 years and beyond.
