Wine Orbit Senior Wine Judge, Sam Kim gives the Weka River 2006 Pinot Noir 5 Stars!

This is oozing with character and personality. The nose is ripe and complex displaying dark cherry, game, spice and truffle characters.

It's concentrated on the palate showing silky texture, excellent mid palate weight and beautifully harmonised fine-grained tannins.

The wine is perfectly drinking now with its opulent fruit and bottle matured savoury notes but should hold it for a few more years yet. A gorgeous gamy Pinot.
